Grab and drag the largest tile in each propagating set. The effects
of interaction transfer to the connected tiles with some small amount
of delay. Over time, this delay imposes a kind of continuous damping
effect, measurable by the movement of tiles within each set.

figure A.
an unusually long tile chain shows how the user's input is much
like a wave carrying force information |
Controls such as these provide an easy
way to sample user interaction under a natural limiting system.
For varying degrees of dampening and responsiveness, the system
could sample input anywhere along the connected tile control. |
