The Bit Field is a dynamic continuum of levitating particles in three
dimensional space.
This project showcases elegant three dimensional perspective algorithms
originally optimized and published by Keith
Peters of Bit-101. These
handy 3D perspective techniques are fast, high modifiable, and very
well suited for space walking objects in Flash
The horizontal position of the mouse controls the rotation of the
entire Bit Field. Each click of the mouse increases the maximum number
of allowed bits.
Individual bits levitate in, hold a vertical position for some time,
then levitate out.
Each bit is an object that calculates its own screen position and
size based on its relative location in XYZ space. This makes the bit
extremely fun and simple to use in other projects. |
